The Celts - our common history

Celtic peoples and tribes settled in Central Europe from about 800 BC on and spread all over Europe through the following centuries. The Rhine-Moselle area, where Kobern-Gondorf is situated, used to be a prominent area during the 4th and 3rd century BC. Later the Roman influence diminished Celtic life, but it kept on living in Ireland, which remained untouched by Roman occupation. Both areas, Kerry and the Rhine-Moselle area, offer various remains of that time. This is what the two groups want to examine.
